Description
Daydream by Hannah Grace is a book I only picked up a few months ago but is already one of my favorites. I love the book because of the authentic and heartfelt relationships between the characters, and the genuine care Hannah Grace puts into developing them as real, complex people. Each character feels so well-rounded, with their own strengths, flaws, and growth arcs, which makes them incredibly relatable and easy to connect with. The way the characters support, challenge, and understand each other creates a sense of warmth and emotional depth that really resonates with me. Whether it’s the friendship dynamics, the romance, or the personal journeys each character goes through, I can always count on Daydream to remind me that relationships—both the easy and the difficult ones—are what make life meaningful. It’s a comfort book for me because it feels like returning to a place where I can just relax, knowing the characters are familiar and their stories are filled with kindness, growth, and understanding.
I first picked Daydream up when I adventured to a local bookstore in August to celebrate the first week of class being over this fall semester. I picked the novel up and finished it on one evening. I’d read Hannah Grace’s novels before but Daydream struck me even deeper than her previous work. I could see Hallie, the main character, in myself. The second I made that connection was the second I knew I had to finish this book that very evening.
