The Marvels movie was amazing. There I said it, that’s my hot take. The reason this movie is my favorite is because it brings together a group of superheroes which is one of my favorite things that Marvel does. What makes it so amazing in my eyes is that it brought together 3 generations of female superheroes, the original Marvel hero and the newest as well. I find the movie to be a hallmark of female empowerment in a movie genre that is fairly male dominated.

This display set has been on display on my shelf since April 2024, getting quite the deal on it. Kamala Khan is probably my favorite character in the display because I can see myself reflected in her. She’s a young Gen Z woman who wants to impress her older peers and make an impact on the world all at the same time. While the stakes I hope to live up to are not nearly as intense as Kamala’s I see a reflection of myself in her. I keep this set displayed on myself because its a reminder to myself to be the best version of myself, to be my own superhero.
